Why Dieting is Not Enough
Many people think that restricting their food intake is the best way to lose weight. While this is logically true, it’s still not the healthiest way. While dieting may work to a certain extent, there are also other things that you can do to make your weight loss healthy and even more effective. The following are what you can do on top of dieting to lose weight effectively:
1)Exercise – Exercise, coupled with a good diet is a great way to lose weight. If you exercise, you work against your body fat. You will also feel stronger and a whole lot healthier. Exercising also releases hormones that make you feel happier.
2)Meditation and stress-relief – Some people eat a lot when they are stressed. Negative life situations make people emotional eaters. Dieting and exercising will not be effective if you let negative life events get the better of you. This is where meditation can help. Meditation makes you relaxed. Through meditation, you find ways to deal with problems in a calm and healthy manner. If you are able to do this, you will no longer be an emotional eater. You can also other ways to relieve stress, such as taking up a hobby, going into sports, counseling, or staying connected with your friends.
