Weight Loss Tips for Young Girls

Many teenagers these days are pressured to lose weight because their favorite celebrities are very thin. Girls who have not even reached puberty are already concerned about weight loss. Even if they look perfectly fine, they still want to be as thin as a certain classmate or their favorite singer or actress. This is a sad indication of just how twisted our society has become when it comes to weight loss.

Instead of making young girls feel that they need to go into a diet in order to loss weight, we should all work on making them aware that they need to be healthy first. The following are what we can instill in them so that they will not be too concerned about weight loss:

1)Beauty is temporary – Society’s standard of beauty changes a lot. Thin girls may be considered beautiful now but this was not the case in the past, and perhaps, in the future, too.
2)There is a healthy way to lose weight – Crash dieting is not advisable. There is a healthy way to lose weight. If a young girl stops eating junk food and starts including healthy foods in her diet, she will lose weight and help her body along the way.
3)Being thin does not necessarily bring happiness – There are more factors that affect a person’s happiness than weight.
