How to Prepare for a Detox
Detox or detoxification is essential in making your body work as well as it should. If you are thinking of doing one, you must know that the process takes a considerable amount of preparation. You cannot just decide to do it one morning and then start detoxifying your body right then and there.
The following are the ways with which you can prepare for a detox:
1)Stop eating too much before a detox – Just because you will not be able to eat too much during your detox, does not mean that you have to binge before you start the process. If you do this, your body will work much harder to get clean. It is counterintuitive.
2)Drink a lot of water – It is important to hydrate your body continuously. Do not wait until you get thirsty. Have a bottle or glass of water near you at all times and drink.
3)Eat less and eat only simple foods – This means eating foods that do not have that many ingredients or flavorings. You also have to limit your intake.
4)Avoid late night meals – If you eat in the middle of the night, you are not being kind to your digestive system. To make your colon prepared for the work ahead, avoid eating in the middle of the night. If you feel hungry, drink lots of water and sleep.
