Dealing with Acne
When I was a teenager, I had my fair share of acne. They did not help my confidence at all. I noticed that they were particularly affected by the food I ate. When I ate food that were oily or high in sugar content, pimples would pop up from face. I was fairly miserable because I loved eating junk food, just like any teenager. The stress caused by worrying about the acne on my face also contributed to the emergence of more acne. It was a vicious cycle.
My mother was very sympathetic of my situation. She had acne when she was younger, too. She and I visited many dermatologists. They gave me creams and medicines but they did not really work. The worst part about the medicines were burning sensation I felt after applying them. And being a teenager that I was, I often forgot about applying them.
Thankfully, my acne vanished as I aged. I also learned that keeping my face clean was one sure way of keeping them at bay. If I keep the oil on my face to a minimum, acne will not pop up. Cleaning my face also helps me get rid of blockages on my pores, which can lead to pimples. Of course, these days, I make sure that I deal with stress properly. By living a life that is stress-free, I have a face that is pimple-free.
