Can you Practice Natural Health in the City?
City-dwellers are less healthy than those who live in the country. You will notice that people who live in the country are stronger. They have stronger immune system and are ultimately happier. Why is this? The answer is in the way they benefit and work on the environment. People from the country eat only organic food. Their fruits, vegetables, meat, and other products are seldom poisoned with chemicals. They grow their plants using clean water. The animals that they raise for meat and other products eat only organic feeds as well. Conversely, people in the city eat food that are cooked using saturated fat and enriched flour. The food that we eat were produced to last long in the shelf but they do not help us live long. Furthermore, our waters, air, and surroundings are seriously polluted. People in the country are big on natural health and this is why they are healthier than us, city-dwellers.
Since it is impossible for us to leave the city just so we can be healthier, there are things we can do to integrate natural health into our lives. One is to take supplements that are organic. We should choose products that came from the Earth and formulated not to destroy our planet. Another is to try shopping at farmer’s markets. These places are full of merchandise that are grown with conscious consideration of our health and the environment. We don’t have to move to the country to practice natural health. We can stay in the city and work on it.
